Why not? - my exact reaction XD I can relate to this the, most of the songs I listen to are more than 30+ years old, present time music is soooooo bad

zo • 1 year ago

Nothing beats nostalgic songs. Takes me back to my childhood days

Kirito • 1 year ago

I also kinda relate to it but I do know the new song it's just that sometimes the songs in karaoke doesn't have that particular song that I know so I have to choose the available

Meggido • 1 year ago

They don't make songs like they used to. The mainstream are wacky but there are small time artists that make old fashioned music

Yashondowski • 1 year ago

Indeed almost every present day song is not good enough.

The songs I like are 10+ years old which are made with passion and not like songs now a days where all you get is some women twerking

Klaxxi • 1 year ago

I mean depends on genre but listen to eden or smt if u want lyrics about other stuff xD then theres bands like sabaton that has history behind their songs or just 9mm bullet cause they did alot of gd songs for berserk and new songs still slaps

Kirito • 1 year ago

Yeah same but to me I listen to japanese song and I've lost track what's popular now

🎶 Ain't nothin' but a heartache 🎶

Iska • 1 year ago

Facts, music nowadays is nothing like it was years ago.
It’s a shame too because a lot of times the instrumental is actually good it’s just the artist singing some absolutely garbage lyrics XD

MeguminExplosion • 1 year ago

Linkin park at the karaoke.

vovan1 • 1 year ago

even if i personally like it. I think hard Rock is not what people usually sing at Karaoke. Prove me wrong :D

g@be • 1 year ago

Most recent one of mines is The Who and Guns and Roses

Monkey D. Luna • 1 year ago

anything by oasis, blur, suede, the cure, blondie, ...eraserheads (that's our local band)...

Archie Andrew's 1000 • 1 year ago

Sadly mine's older like "In to the Night"

LesK • 1 year ago

anything by Dave Matthew's Band, U2, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Scorpions, Blues Traveler, Robert Palmer, Tom Petty or the supergroup he participated in The Traveling Willburys.

g@be • 1 year ago

Aerosmith, nicee nice... Any recommendations, or should i check all of them?

LesK • 1 year ago

easiest way, get an earful of about 38 minutes of Aerosmith's 1980 'Greatest Hits' album for free here {youtube dot com/watch?v=THenNBX1WDo} then just flip that Wayback Machine's dials to 'forwards through time' and keep listening to their songs as they get newer and the band gets more elderly. ;>

then pop over to YouTubeMusic and just get the U2 playlist and go back to the 80's yet again for their first album in the UK/Ireland and move forwards through time.

as to Germany's most world-famous hard rock band Scorpions? their two albums in the 2000's are ... meh... ok. i've got em digitally but i barely listen to those two. i enjoy the pre2000 stuff. also, don't worry... most of Scorpions albums are sung in English.

now here's a 'supergroup' for you. Bob Dylan, George Harrison (the Beetle), Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison and Tom Petty. their first album is titled 'Traveling Wilburys Vol. 1'. Following Orbison's death in December 1988, the Wilburys released a second album, which they titled 'Traveling Wilburys Vol. 3', in 1990.

Every band that was named after a stand in Jojos.

Boris • 1 year ago

Pink Floyd is without a doubt my favorite, favorite song being Brain Damage + Eclipse (you can't listen to one without the other, it's just sacrilege).

g@be • 1 year ago

I'm a Pink Floyd fan, esp like the wall album. Any recommendations for the others?

Boris • 1 year ago

Basically anything is good, Dark Side Of The Moon (need I say more? It's legit one of the most famous albums ever made), the Animal album (Dog's is my favorite), Wish You Were Here (the final song of the same name just hits way harder if you've listened to the album in a single sitting, Welcome To The Machine and Have A Cigar are personal favorites from this).
Keep in mind most their albums are kinda meant to be listened to whole in a single sitting, all the songs lead into each other to form a single theme (or in the case of The Wall, an entire story)

kusonegai • 1 year ago

it's usually western music that suffers from degradation, can't really say the same with japanese modern songs tbh

GreenTea Gal • 1 year ago

what about the current bands that have a very old school sound?

vovan1 • 1 year ago

what are you listening to? I'm into Rock like:
Phenomenon by Thousand Foot Krutch

NetroLancer • 1 year ago

I like 'E for Extinction' by, Thousand Foot Krutch.

knightwolf09 • 1 year ago

I'm also a fan of old school songs. From 70s to 80s to 90s. I just dig em. Sure there are new age songs that are bops too, but people have said I'm a bit of an old soul so ^ ^;

Nova Mane • 1 year ago

Car guy enjoyer • 1 year ago

Me with Metallica or Led Zeppelin

DuckAllMigthy • 1 year ago

I'm a total 70's, 80's and nowadays metal head and old school hip hop, so whenever I hear pop song from like the last 10 maybe 15 years, I just think to myself, what kind of fucking shit is this? Give me some damn Abba or Fleetwood Mac or Led Zeppelin or Korn, you know from when pop music was actually amazing and not just a guy with 3 naked women saying random noises over the sounds of a dying toaster. I can't understand how the stuff of today became popular, my generation grew up on nu-metal dammit, a couple of years back, someone introduced me to I think MajorLesser or something, and I legit thought they where trolling me, when they told me it was the nr. 1 pop song. But I dig music in anime in general, and this has a great soundtrack.
